Global Skills Challenge: nearly here
The Global Skills Challenge is edging closer and the WorldSkills Australia team are working furiously to put on an impressive event for our international guests.
Over the past month, international interest to compete in the challenge has increased and we now have the biggest international WorldSkills event being held in Australia, since 1988.
The Global Skills Challenge has grown to accommodate 10 countries and over 80 competitors who will converge in Wollongong for the ultimate training exercise.
The event will simulate, as closely as possible, the conditions WorldSkills competitors are likely to come up against at the 41st WorldSkills International Competition, in London, later this year.
Preparations to get the Wollongong TAFE campus ready for the event are well underway and WorldSKills Australia is very much looking forward to welcoming our guests.
