February Update

As this is the first SkillNews for 2015 I would like to wish everyone a happy New Year. While everyone I’m sure has been back at work for many weeks now, I hope that you enjoyed a relaxing break.

In 2014, WSA conducted some research with members of the general public around the WSA brand. What we found was that the majority of people surveyed did not recognise the WSA brand nor did they have an understanding of what WSA did.

Essentially, the biggest issue we face with the WSA brand is that there are too many messages, coming from too many people that are not consistent. It comes as no surprise that we found that if all of our communications looked, sounded and felt the same we would have more impact.

As a result, we are excited to deliver a cleaner, more focused brand approach, to be phased in over the next six months and all aimed at repositioning, strengthening and building on the WSA brand.

In order for this to be effective, we need to draw on our extensive national support networks and stakeholder groups to unite in their messaging to promote WSA. As such, we look forward to working with you all to adopt this new approach and continue to grow WSA. Click here to view our new look.

Finally, 2015 is another big year for WSA as we continue to operate in an ever changing environment. We look forward to working closely with all regions in this regional competition year to ensure we grow our regional base – the strength of the organisation, and provide as many young Australians as possible with the opportunity to excel.
