CEO of SkillsOne announced as Chair of WSA Board

At the WorldSkills Australia (WSA) Board meeting held on 28 February 2013, the Board elected Mr. Brian Wexham to the position of Chair. This follows the decision by Jeanette Allen to stand down as Chair of WSA in late 2012. Jeanette Allen, who had overseen the transition of WSA from an Incorporated Association to a Company Limited by Guarantee will continue to be a director of WSA.

Mr. Wexham has been a long standing Board member of WSA and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of SkillsOne Television. He is an experienced executive and non-executive director with an extensive background in media and advertising, spanning over 30 years. Incoming Chair, Brian Wexham said: “This is an exciting time for Worldskills and the vocational education sector generally .

Worldskills Australia has made great headway over the past few years and I welcome the opportunity to work with my fellow directors and the Chief Executive to ensure we continue to build the reputation and role of WorldSkills. It has a significant role to play in encouraging young Australians to reach their full potential and to create sustainable and inspired relationships with industry.”
