ClubsNSW at Skills Show Australia 2018

The WorldSkills National Championships in Sydney on the 2^nd – 4^th June at the Sydney International Convention Centre proved an invaluable opportunity to showcase the fun career that Hospitality is. ClubsNSW had a ‘Trya’Skill’ stand promoting hospitality in Clubs and gave the passing parade a practical demonstration of table service skills.

Visitors were shown how to provide table service to a table of eight, in a bistro or restaurant and given the opportunity to Try’a’Skill and emulate the demonstrator’s actions in ‘waiting’ their table of friends.

“If you do front of house hospitality properly, you get paid to party” said Ron Browne, Manager Professional Development at ClubsNSW. “You have a great time engaging with your clients and patrons, making their experience so much more pleasurable and making the time pass more quickly for you. And you are being paid to be there!”
