Jeremy Gransden

Welding

“One life, One chance” , this is the motto that Jeremy Gransden lives his life by and was the attitude he took with him to Helsinki. This attitude gained him a gold medal and has become the world’s best young welder. Jeremy’s gold medal was the result of dedication, commitment and training from himself and all involved with his preparation from Regional level right through to the International Competition. According to Jeremy, WorldSkills has been “an invaluable experience where I have traveled to three different countries, learnt different skills and made many new friends. It was a busy and not an easy journey at times, but an enjoyable one. Thank you to everyone for your commitment to me……Gold is the ultimate reward”. Jeremy will be staying with his current employer Midpro Engineering in Forbes for sometime after the completion of his apprenticeship in January 2006. “I will give back to them for all the support, effort, encouragement and help they have given to me”.
