Matthew Nunn

Matthew is from Adelaide region, South Australia. He currently works at Clipsal Integrated Systems and trained at Regency TAFE. The MTC expert was Geoff Ball, who is employed at the Sydney Institute of TAFE.

Having had an interest in hands on electronics, an apprenticeship was the most suitable path for Matthew. After completing his year 12 studies, Matt successfully applied for an apprenticeship at Clipsal Integrated Systems where he finished his placement and was offered employment. He now continues to study Computer Systems Engineering at Adelaide University.

Matt is a National gold medallist in the Consumer Electronics category from 2004. He believes that those who compete in WorldSkills competitions will broaden their opportunities to achieve their potential and give them the confidence to pursue their goals.

Since competing in WorldSkills competitions Matt has been a recipient of the Big Brother Movement Scholarship, a pathway from the National competition, from which he received work experience at Schneider organisations in England, Demark and Finland. Matthew now hopes to work overseas and lead the development of projects in his career.

Matthew and his Skillaroo team mates in MTC jointly received a Medallion of Excellence for their design and manufacturing of a wind generator and water pump as part of their 4 day project in the WorldSkills International Competition.
