Trystan Sammut

Bricklaying

WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017

Trystan gives 100 percent to everything he does, always. His positive energy and determination fuel his passion for bricklaying and make him a fierce competitor.

Trystan first got into the trade by doing work experience through his school and simultaneously his local footy coach took him on board at his work.

“WorldSkills has taught me the value of hard work.” “It’s also opened the door to more job opportunities.”

Trystan has his sights set on owning his own business one day, “but before that, I want to gain more responsibility at my current job”.

His advice to others considering competing in WorldSkills is “DO IT! Nothing like I imagined, but totally worth it as serious as it is, it’s fun more than anything.”

Trystan is being supported on WorldSkills journey by the ABBTF.
