2014 WorldSkills Australia National Competition –Officially Opens

This afternoon, WorldSkills Australia hosted its first ever Opening Ceremony. The national competitors, who had travelled from across the country to compete in Australia’s largest trade and skill competition were welcomed to the event with an official reveal of the venue.

It was a momentous occasion for competitors, many who had never before been on a plane or had any concept of how enormous a WorldSkills Australia National Competition really was.

Watch the expressions on the faces of the audience as the curtain opens to reveal the 2014 WorldSkills Australia National Competition. The event was streamed live to YouTube and is now available to view here. Images are also available via our flickr account.

WorldSkills Australia would like to thank all of our fantastic volunteers who dedicated so much of their time to assist us setting up the National Competition, one of the most logistically complex events on the national events calendar.

The WorldSkills Australia National Competition is a free to the public event. The event is open from 9:00am – 4:00pm between Thursday the 18th and Saturday the 20th of September at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
