2014 WorldSkills National Welding Training Camp

The 2014 WorldSkills Australia Welding Training Camp was held last month in Ballarat ahead of the National Competition. The Training Camp saw three welders, one construction steel worker and one metal worker come together to take part in the week-long camp held at Federation University. The training camp provided the national competitors with the opportunity to fine tune their skills and learn from each other in preparation for the big event.

Peter Morey, Treasurer of the WorldSkills Australia Ballarat/Wimmera Region said “the Camp was a great success with contributions from WorldSkills veteran John Anderson, local Secretary Lisa Howlett and the Regional Committee. Thank you to Cigweld Pty Ltd for providing the equipment and consumables. The region hopes to have more competitors from around Australia in two years’ time.”
