WorldSkills Champions Forum

While this year’s national competitors are hoping to secure their place in WorldSkills Australia’s family of champions, 2013 Skillaroo Jessica Martin will be flying to Niagara, Canada, to participate in the 2016 WorldSkills Champions Forum.

Jessica will join other WorldSkills champions from the past three International Competitions to harness the diversity in skills, cultures, and their own personal experiences to create ongoing opportunities to connect champions to WorldSkills. They will spend one week working in groups to create projects that engage other champions, raise the profile of WorldSkills and demonstrate the power of skills.

Throughout the week, participants will meet with industry professionals to refine their groups’ ideas. In addition to being a brilliant opportunity to contribute to the legacy of WorldSkills, the champions participating in the forum will also receive professional training in project planning and development, pitching ideas to funders and media training to aid in their ongoing development.
