Convenors

Are all the venues the same given the postponement?

All competition venues will remain as originally planned with the most skills hosted at the PCEC. The following skills will be held at TAFE campuses as follows:

North Metropolitan TAFE Midland Campus

  • Construction Steel
  • Sheet Metal
  • Fitting
  • Turning
  • VETiS Primary Industries

South Metropolitan TAFE Carlisle Campus

  • Automotive Refinishing
  • Refrigeration & Air-conditioning
What shall I be doing regarding the equipment and materials lists?

If your skill’s equipment and material list has not yet been submitted to WorldSkills Australia, we will continue to work with convenors and chief judges to finalise these.

What should I do with suppliers / sponsors that I have spoken to about assisting the event?

If you haven’t already introduced any potential suppliers / sponsors that are interested in being involved and supporting the event, please introduce them to Jo Harrop via email at JHarrop@worldskills.org.au who can continue the conversation.

Will competitor numbers change?

If there are changes to competitor numbers you will be advised by WorldSkills Australia.

What is my commitment going forward?

WorldSkills Australia will continue to plan and work with convenors and chief judges on equipment lists and individual skill are requirements to ensure that we are well prepared for the National Championships in 2021.
