Day three of competition. Only one day to go!
The Skillaroos are now three quarters of the way through the International Competition; they have all completed the majority of their modules and will only have a few hours left tomorrow to put the final touches on their work before the judges retire to discuss and tally all of the marks.
In the Painting and Decorating category, Ben Hackett has made impressive progress with his free style piece, a stunning profile portrait of a young woman, as well as having completed his wall paper piece and working through his heavily detailed design of the Leipzig Messe venue.
Ashleigh Huntley, our Fashion Technology Skillaroo was pleased to have completed and embellished her military style jacket which will leave her with enough time tomorrow to ensure that all of her pieces are completed and that she has time to triple check all of her work before it is submitted to the judges.
Our Skillaroo in the Jewellery category, Tayron Scagnetti, had an extremely busy day today working through his modules: “My eyes feel like concrete, I have been so focused on what I am doing that I sometimes forget to blink. The time passes so fast and I was absolutely dripping in sweat by the time the clock was up. I’m feeling really confident in what I have produced so far and I’m looking forward to chatting with my expert tonight to see what I need to focus on tomorrow.”
