Hair Expo 2019

Watch a WorldSkills Australia Hairdressing Challenge Live on stage! We’ve invited a group of hairdressing apprentices to the main stage at the 2019 Hair Expo to demonstrate their skills and compete against their peers.

The challenge involves two stages, the first includes designing and creating a catwalk hair design. The hair design must be completed within 30 minutes and is measured on the final design aesthetic, application of design brief, sustainability practice and adhering to industry standards. This section of the challenge will conclude with a live catwalk of the styles.

The second section includes a traditional male haircut, beard design and blow dry! Hair clippers and tools at the ready the competitors will again have a 30-minute timeframe. The haircut and beard design must reflect a commercial hair design and incorporate the clients design preferences.
