Introducing our Technical Delegate Assistant

WorldSkills Australia would like to introduce our new Technical Delegate Assistant, Grant Stewart who was recently appointed to the role.

Grant has been a longstanding volunteer of WorldSkills Australia who first began his journey with us as a competitor in 1996. Since then Grant has remained heavily involved, fulfilling a number of roles within the organisation on all competition levels, culminating as International Chief Expert for the Plumbing category last year in Leipzig.

More recently Grant has taken on a position with the WorldSkills Foundation, where he was involved in a project which aimed to teach new skills and implement new sanitation systems within local communities in Nepal, known as the Healthabitat – Sanitation Studio. Currently, Grant is also working with the WorldSkills Foundation for the inaugural International Water Innovation Challenge.

In his role as the Technical Delegate Assistant, Grant will work alongside Australia’s Technical Delegate, Brigitte Collins, to ensure the that Australia remains competitive at the international level and that all competitions are conducted fairly. He will also provide invaluable support to the WSA International Expert group as they prepare for and participate in the 2015 WSI Competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

WorldSkills Australia would like to take this opportunity to thank Noel Munkman, Grant’s predecessor, for his passion and commitment and for being an exceptional ambassador for Australia on the international stage over many years.
