Making a change with the OECD

We invite you to join the effort with WorldSkills and the OECD and be part of a first of its kind research project. If you are an eligible respondent, please complete the 20-minute survey, if you are not a respondent please share and encourage action.

WorldSkills and the OECD are collaborating to provide a voice for the worlds’ youth and amplify what inspires and challenges you and what your attitudes, fears, and aspirations are to the FUTURE OF WORK.

At WorldSkills Australia, young people are at the heart of everything we do! Young people are our spokespeople, beneficiaries, and our heroes and we strive to reflect the authentic voice of the worlds’ youth in all aspects of the skills debates.

But to help spark thinking and conversation, on a global level, WorldSkills and the OECD needs your help. Your participation will help develop a more inclusive world of work and have a real impact on future policies by appealing to the emotions of policy makers and inspire policy actions.

This first of its kind global survey will be simultaneously conducted in Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States.

The survey is open to Australian residents aged 18-24, who are currently in general education or a vocational education course (i.e. apprenticeship, traineeship or general course).

The survey will close on March 22, 2019.

The preliminary finding will be released at the OECD Forum taking place in Paris, May.

Full report released during the WorldSkills International Championships taking place Kazan, Russia in August 2019.
