Melbourne region announces Regional Competition medallists!

On Monday 16 November 2015, the City of Melbourne hosted Melbourne Region’s Medal Ceremony at the Melbourne Town Hall.

The ceremony recognised the outstanding achievements of competitors from 20 different trades and skills categories who have competed in the 2015 WorldSkills Australia Regional Competitions.

The audience heard from guest speakers Councillor Jackie Watts and WorldSkills Australia 2015 Skillaroos Dale Fisher and Dylan Di Martino, the master of ceremonies for the evening was Andrew Williamson, Executive Director, Victorian TAFE Association.

Eligible competitors are now invited to apply via an expression of interest to represent the Melbourne region at the 2016 WorldSkills Australia National Competition which will be held in Melbourne between 6-8 October, 2016. The expression of interest closes Monday 30 November, 2015 with the Melbourne region team to be announced by Wednesday 16 December, 2015.
