In Memoriam: Peter van den Berg

We would like to reach out to a member of the WorldSkills family who have sadly lost a treasured friend and colleague yesterday.

Peter van den Berg was the Operational Director and Technical Delegate of WorldSkills Netherlands.  If Peter was at an international function, it wouldn’t be long until he was hanging out with the Australians of the group.  He was a lovable larrakin known for his brilliant sense of humour.  Peter had a true passion for skills and sincere desire to advance their reputation, indeed, this is part of what made him such a magnetic person that others were drawn to.  Peter was a great role model, mentor and cherished friend to all that knew him, and he will be deeply missed by WorldSkills Australia and many others worldwide. Our thoughts are with Peter’s wife Annet and his family and the WorldSkills Netherlands family.

Vale, Peter van den Berg.  You will always be an honorary Aussie.
