Beauty Therapy Competition

Beauty Therapists provide skin analyses, facial therapies, skin-care treatments and body treatments such as massage to clients. Beauty Therapists are required to use their technical and customer service skills and are often required to apply discretion and judgement.

The WorldSkills Beauty Therapy Competition will see its Competitors apply and adapt technical skills and knowledge and use judgment in the provision of beauty treatments and services.

YOU SHOULD PURSUE A CAREER IN BEAUTY THERAPY IF YOU:

  • Are interested in cosmetic and therapeutic services
  • Like looking for ways to help people
  • Are creative
  • Enjoy practical, hands-on work
  • Are analytical and like working out problems

IT ALL BEGINS AT A REGIONAL COMPETITION

The WorldSkills Australia Beauty Therapy Competitions begin at a grass roots level in one of 42 Australian regions. The Beauty Therapy Regional Competitions test the skills and knowledge of 4000+ apprentices, trainees and students, who have the opportunity to win gold, silver and bronze medals and gain the chance to go on to compete at a national level.

WorldSkills Australia competitions operate on a two-year cycle. The next Beauty Therapy Regional Competition rounds are now running across the country. 2023 and 2025 are the next National Championship years.
