The Skillaroos’ journey to Germany
On the 25th of June, an official farewell function for the 2013 Team Australia Skillaroos was held at Sydney’s iconic Opera House.
Included in the highlights from the evening was the address to the team from former Australian Rugby League legend Andrew Ryan, also an Australian Apprenticeships Ambassador. Andrew shared with the Skillaroos his own inspirational anecdotes and words of wisdom from his time as an Australian representative.

Bright and early the following morning, dressed in their green and gold Australian tracksuits, the Skillaroos boarded their coach and began the 27 hour journey to Berlin, Germany.
After touching down in Berlin, the Skillaroos, fighting off the jetlag, were given the chance to explore the renowned German city on foot, visiting many monumental sites such as the Berlin wall and Checkpoint Charlie.
