Tyson Knight

Congratulations Tyson Knight!

Tyson Knight got involved with WorldSkills Australia in 2007 when he first competed in a Regional Plumbing Competition. After receiving the gold medal at the regional and national competition, Tyson progressed to the 2009 WorldSkills International Competition in Calgary, Canada, which saw him take home the silver medal. In 2010 Tyson was also awarded the prestigious Ern MacDonald Fellowship.

Since competing, Tyson has remained heavily involved with WorldSkills Australia, fulfilling various roles including National Judge, Regional Convenor, Mentor, Trainer, 2011 and 2013 Team Australia Assistant Team Leader and 2012 National Refrigeration Competition Team Leader.

This year, Tyson again took on his role as the National Refrigeration Competition Team Leader at last month’s 2014 WorldSkills Australia National Refrigeration Competition held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

WorldSkills Australia would like to thank Tyson for his commitment and passion for the organisation and for continuing to encourage and mentor our competitors.
