WorldSkills Australia welcomes international guests to 2013 GSC

After many hours spent travelling from across the globe, international guests of the 2013 Global Skills Challenge (GSC), converged together for the first time at the Official Opening and welcome dinner hosted this evening at one of Perth’s hidden treasures, the Burswood on Swan Function Centre.

Upon arrival, guests were treated to a picturesque sunset falling across the iconic Swan River and were greeted by some of Australia’s native wildlife.

The Hon Terry Redman, Minister for Training and Workforce Development was called to stage to officially open the 2013 GSC. Minister Redman was followed by SkillsOne CEO, Brian Wexham and Polytechnic West Managing Director, Jill Jamieson, who each welcomed the guests and wished the competitors the best of luck for the GSC.
