WorldSkills Australia invites applications for a range of voluntary roles for the 2018 WorldSkills Australia National Championship. The competition will be held in Sydney at the brand new International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour from the 29th May 2018 – 7th June 2018.

All successful applicants will be required to be in attendance for the National Championship from the 29th May 2018 – 7th June 2018. These dates are dependent on individual skill requirements, exact date requirements will be communicated with you closer to the date.

As part of the organisation’s ongoing review of operations and our commitment to continually improving all aspects of the competition process, the roles will be filled from applicants who make their submission in the following format and who meet the following criteria and deadline. This application is for the 2018 National Championship only.

Applications for the 2018 National Championship voluntary roles will open on August 1st 2017 and will close on October 20th 2017. Applicants will be notified of the success of their application in early November once competitor numbers have been somewhat finalised and WorldSkills Australia has determined accurate requirements.

Please note that this application does not guarantee you a volunteer position at the 2018 National Competition.

    Role of Interest

    • In addition to attending the National Competition, the chief judging personnel will also be required to assist WorldSkills Australia with the planning and preparation of the competition, including email or phone correspondence as well as any cluster group meetings and the selection of other judges.

    • Judges are required to work together with a group of other judges for the best interest of the competitors. By ticking this role you are agreeing to meet this requirement throughout the entire duration of this process.

    Please note that previous WorldSkills experience is not required to apply for a volunteer position at the 2018 National Competition.
