Carpentry

WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017

  • International Result Silver Medal
  • Region Adelaide
  • Employer BJ and VL Duldig
  • Training Institute TAFE SA

Ryan might be a perfectionist as a carpenter, but it’s only because he is hardworking and motivated to get the job done right.

“I was inspired by a family friend to get into carpentry. After I completed the Doorways2Construction vocational training program in high school I went on to an apprenticeship with Brenton Duldig.”

Ryan’s involvement with WorldSkills has helped him focus on the job at-hand and dedicate his time to it. He has already tasted success, winning the Tjerk Dusseldorp Best Performing Competitor award at the 2016 Nationals.

Ryan is looking forward to starting his own carpentry and building business in South Australia as well as “one day being able to build my own home”.
