Kim Harrison
Kim is from the Brisbane region, Queensland. She is employed at RewardsCorp in Broadbeach and trained at Southbank Institute of Technology in Morningside. The category expert for Graphic Design Technology was Jane Stokie who works at the Shepparton News.
Kim has completed Certificate III in Graphic Prepress and is fully qualified as a Graphic Prepress Operator. She originally answered an advertisement in the newspaper and found a position with Group Training Australia at a printing company where she was trained.
Kim doesn’t see the difference between an apprenticeship and university degree, and will remain satisfied as long as she is in a job where she desires to learn and achieve. Kim wants to make the transition from prepress operations to a senior graphic design artist and enjoys being able to produce 2D artwork for logos, business cards, brochures or packaging.
Kim’s training as a Skillaroo has involved travelling to Taiwan to meet experts and other competitors. Her experience and knowledge gained through training has given her the edge to pursue and further her career.
